Outdoor LED Rock Water Fountain - Avalanche Peak Garden Decor with Cascading Water Feature for Patio, Yard, and Landscape Design

We have this fountain on our patio. It works perfectly. No problems with the lights. The motor is barely audible - the sound of the water overrides it. It's small, but the water has a nice, soothing sound. Good value for the money. Lots of creatures go to the fountain for water, including hummingbirds.Like fountain very much but missing the back cover. Tried the phone number for support but number is wrong. I purchased 2 and I love them!the product is very good qualitylove sounds and flow of waterThis has 3 layers (water basins), all of which have a single white LED light at the bottom center of each basin. Right out of the box, mine was defective. The bottom, largest basin had a defective LED light and will not illuminate the water cascade going into the bottom basin. The other two worked, so in trying to troubleshoot, I switched the leads from the wiring harness to see if one of the cords from the harness was at fault and found that it was not. So either the cord going into fountain, to the bottom LED bulb is bad, or the bulb itself is bad. You would think quality control at the factory would, as a matter of policy, check each light before it is packaged and shipped. So, I would have given it a higher rating, had it not been defective the first time I plugged it in. Kind of disappointing.Aside from that, here are my observations about the fountain itself. First of all, it is pretty small, standing only 22" high and as such there is not a pronounced sound of water falling. Thus I would not elect to use it outdoors if the sound of cascading water is what you are after. You will not hear it outdoors unless you are sitting right next to it. In addition, it is not of a scale to its surroundings that it would look good outside. Instead, I would probably opt to use it indoors, if there is an area of the house that it does not look out of place. One thing that I observed, is that it does not leak, so it could be used indoors without fear of water damage. Another place that this might fit in, would be in a reception area of an office, as a visual feature, if it were accompanied with some other outdoorsy decor items or an outdoor backdrop.With the two upper lights that work, I did like, very much, the illumination of the water and the refracted light that it cast on the ceiling in a darkened room. It has the shimmering effect somewhat like an illuminated swimming pool at night that casts interesting light patterns on things the pool lights fall upon. Too bad the bottom basin did not add to the effect. The single bright LED's in the upper basins does a nice job of illuminating the layered rock.There are two cords that need to be plugged in. One thick one runs the pump inside the water reservoir. The other is a low voltage transformer (brick) which terminates at one end, in 3 cord wiring harness which connects to their 3 matches, going into the reservoir to power the LED lights. All of the cords have to stay outside of the fountain structure itself, so you will need to somehow hide them from view since they are a bit unsightly in a sense. To be expected but just an FYI.As far as value goes, I think it is quite a stretch to pay a couple hundred bucks for this, due to its size. I have found many cascading fountains which are much larger and more appropriate for the scale of the outdoors to use in a patio setting, for instance.One other thing. Don't unpack this inside your house. The styrofoam used to cradle this, flakes off very easily and you will have tiny little popcorn beads everywhere, which cling tenaciously to your garments and everything else, due to static electricity. Unpack outdoors and use a blower to blow them off of the fountain and yourself.
