When building your bug-out-bag (BOB), a key item to include is water storage. But realistically you can't strap a 5 gallon container to your back. So the key is striking the balance between holding capacity and the size it takes up in your BOB. This was the ideal mix of the two for me. Holds a bit over a gallon (1.3 gallon per the specs) when filled. But when empty, it collapses down and weighs almost nothing. The spout works well, and it has enough rigidity in the side walls that you can set it down and dispense water like you would from one of the store bought 1.5 gallon jugs.If you are building your own BOB (something we ALL should do), I recommend including this in your kit. I have one in each of our personal BOB's and an extra in my primary vehicle.
